Registered Nurse-Radiology Special Procedures (PRN)
The radiology RN works directly with technologists and radiologists to perform interventional procedures and to aid in the production images of patientsGÇÖ internal organs for the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. A radiology RN must be able to take and accurately interpret the physicianGÇÖs orders, administer drugs and perform conscious sedation. Staff in this position effectively interact with patients, hospital employees, managers, and other health team members while maintaining established professional standards. Also participates in performance improvement activities and perform other imaging tasks or duties as assigned.
Current license as a Registered Nurse in Louisiana. Must have a current unencumbered LA. License. BLS, ACLS, and COAP is required. New Hires must obtain required certifications within 90 days. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and the community. Good computer skills. Must be self-directed and self-motivated.
