Recreational Therapist-Partial Psych-(FT Days)
Evaluates each patient’s physical and cognitive abilities, social and emotional behaviors and leisure needs. Completes the Activity Therapy assessment according to policy. Provides defined treatment activity schedules demonstrating therapeutic activities that are not diversional or recreational in nature. Participates in Treatment Team meetings and provides written goals and interventions on the treatment plan. Implements changes to the treatment plan according to patient progress. Contributes to discharge planning.
BA/BS in a mental health related field or certification as a Activity Therapist from an accredited education program with concentration in related Activity Therapy field. Experience preferred with adult patients in a psychiatric/chemical dependency setting where competency in Activity Therapy Program Level and supervision was demonstrated. BLS and COAP are required. New Hires are required to obtain certifications within 30 days of hire.
