Assist the physician with cardiovascular procedures, permanent pacemakers and interventions. Performs emergent procedures associated with cardiac caths such as IABP and temporary pacemakers. Must have current knowledge of radiation safety and use of cath lab imaging equipment.
Patient safety and dignity are maintained always. Continuous monitoring of requests for correct orders. Images are properly labeled and submitted to CPACS in a timely manner.
Completion of an AMA approved school of radiology technology.
Must have understanding of radiographic techniques and equipment.
Must be able to perform varied cardiovascular and radiographic procedures.
Must be able to arrive to the hospital within 30 minutes for emergent call outs.
