The radiology RN works directly with technologists and radiologists to perform interventional procedures and to aid in the production images of patients’ internal organs for the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. A radiology RN must be able to take and accurately interpret the physician’s orders, administer drugs and perform conscious sedation. Staff in this position effectively interact with patients, hospital employees, managers, and other health team members while maintaining established professional standards. Also participates in performance improvement activities and performs other imaging tasks or duties as assigned.
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Must have a current unencumbered LA. License. BLS and COAP are required. New Hires are required to obtain certifications within 90 days of hire.
