The Host/Hostess may be in any area of the department including retail, production, or catering performing such tasks as portioning and serving food, transporting food to service areas, catering, busing dishes, storing and issuing of supplies, and cashiering. The Host/Hostess provides patients, visitors, and co-workers with outstanding customer service. Also, provides patients with properly portioned food meeting specific dietary requirements as ordered by the Physician. Performs all other duties involved in portioning, serving, and transporting food throughout the hospital campus, and all necessary cleaning and sanitizing in the kitchen, cafeteria and dish room areas. The Host/Hostess is one who, therefore, must be very flexible in performing job duties and assuming a variety of job duties while maintaining a courteous, friendly, and helpful attitude toward all guests. Also, this person must work closely with fellow staff as a competent team member.
High School graduate or equivalent required.
