Responsible for all food production; supervises all production workers; maintains and orders inventory.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate of 2 year approved culinary school (4-6 years food service production experience under the supervision of a qualified chef may be accepted in place of school)
- 4-6 years food service production experience as well as 2-3 year supervisory responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, interpersonal skills, analytical skills, planning and organizing, teaching, and problem solving
- Must have the ability to work under extremely stressful conditions and withstand exposure to heat and cold. Must be able to move quickly in emergency situations, to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy cases, and to stand for long periods of time. Must have good vision, balance, and coordination. Must have the ability to use hands and wrists for repetitive motion.
