POSITION SUMMARY

$20K Sign Bonus (2-year commitment)

The Nuclear Medicine supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the nuclear medicine department. This is a working supervisor position. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist utilize specialized cameras to produce images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. A Nuclear Medicine Technologist must be able to accurately interpret the physician’s orders, administer radioactive isotopes, prepare, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images. Staff in this position effectively interact with patients, hospital employees, managers, and other health team members while maintaining established professional standards. Participates in performance improvement activities and performs other imaging tasks or duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduation from AMA approved school of nuclear medicine.
  • Two years’ experience as a nuclear medicine technologist.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Louisiana License, ARRT in nuclear medicine or equivalent certification. (NMTCB).
  • BLS Healthcare Provider Status-required within 30 days of hire date.
